Senior Data Scientist Job Description

Job Overview:

As a senior data scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the engineering and product teams to design and develop data-driven products and services.
  • Communicate complex technical information to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring seamless collaboration and understanding.
  • Drive problem-solving from inception to delivery, applying analytical skills to identify opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research trends in deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing (NLP), leveraging this expertise to inform solution development.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in building comprehensive machine learning (ML) products, from problem analysis to deployment and monitoring.
  • Theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in deep learning, computer vision, and NLP.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate algorithms, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
  • Experience working with text-only and multimodal SLMS, including fine-tuning and building robust evaluation pipelines.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in building robust ML models.
  • Domain experience in fintech is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience publishing in top-tier conferences and journals is considered a plus.
