Software Solutions Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled software solutions developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop secure and high-quality production code
  • Maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Proven experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, distributed caching, and Drools rule engine
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Amazon Web Services (EC2, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge)
  • Familiarity with the AWS, MongoDB, Drools, or React framework is an added advantage
