Job Title: Splunk Engineer

Splunk engineers play a pivotal role in the development of scalable and efficient data management solutions.

The responsibilities of a splunk engineer include designing and implementing Splunk infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment and maintenance across various platforms. This involves configuring and maintaining Indexers, Search Heads, Deployment Servers, Heavy Forwarders, and Universal Forwarders.

A key aspect of this role is troubleshooting server and forwarder problems, as well as designing production-quality Dashboards using Splunk's visualization capabilities.

Expertise in parsing, indexing, searching concepts (hot, warm, cold, frozen bucketing) is also essential for success in this position.

Additionally, proficiency in using regex commands to extract fields from log files is highly desirable.

In order to effectively manage the Splunk infrastructure, engineers must be able to monitor capacity planning and optimization, supporting Splunk on both Linux and Windows-based platforms.

This role requires certifications such as Splunk Certified Power User and Splunk Certified Admin, but these are not mandatory.

Required skills include experience with MongoDB and Docker services, proficiency in Python, and a background in data analytics projects.
