Job Description:

MEP Industry Profile:

Our company, DCS Group, seeks a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in managing MEP projects from conception to completion.

  • Designing HVAC systems that incorporate heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality control.
  • Performing heat load calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements for buildings.
  • Selecting suitable HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, and ventilation fans.
  • Designing ductwork layouts and sizing ducts to efficiently distribute conditioned air.
  • Specifying control systems for HVAC equipment to regulate temperature, humidity, and airflow.
  • Integrating energy-efficient solutions, such as variable refrigerant flow (VRF), heat recovery, and demand-controlled ventilation.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of HVAC systems with architectural and structural elements.
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, including performance testing and balancing.
  • Providing ongoing support for HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Fabricating mechanical components, including HVAC units, ductwork, and ventilation systems, according to engineering specifications.
  • Utilizing cutting, welding, and fabrication techniques to manufacture mechanical elements from sheet metal, steel, or other materials.
  • Ensuring precision and accuracy in the fabrication process to meet design tolerances and performance standards.
  • Conducting quality inspections of mechanical components to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinating with other trades to facilitate the installation and integration of mechanical components within the pre-engineered building structure.
