Principal Instrumentation Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed design deliverables, including Design Basis, Instrumentation & Control system specifications, and functional loop schematics.
About the Role: The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in calculations, such as instrument sizing, control valve sizing, and safety valve sizing. You will also be required to review and update P&ID diagrams, 3D model reviews, IDR/IDC, cable tray layouts, equipment layouts, and instrumentation layout designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and create design deliverables, including Design Basis and Instrumentation & Control system specifications
- Perform calculations for instrument sizing, control valve sizing, and safety valve sizing
- Update P&ID diagrams, 3D model reviews, IDR/IDC, cable tray layouts, equipment layouts, and instrumentation layout designs
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards applicable to FMCG plants is essential
- The ideal candidate should have knowledge of wiring schemes for ESD/DCS and RTU/SCADA hardware specification
- Experience in selecting instruments and systems for hazardous areas is also desirable
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Instrumentation Engineering
- Strong understanding of Instrumentation & Control systems
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to FMCG plants
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
