Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Contracts Specialist to provide expert support for U.S. federal government contracts. This role will involve working closely with our team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ensuring the smooth execution of contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and related regulations, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

About the Role
  • Contract Review & Compliance: Assist in reviewing federal contract documents, task orders, and amendments to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare compliance trackers, audit files, and status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Audit & Monitoring Support: Assist with internal reviews and external audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA) to ensure timely compliance.
  • Proposal & Pre-Award Support: Review solicitations (RFPs/RFQs) for relevant FAR/DFARS clauses and prepare compliance matrices and checklists for proposal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying and summarizing applicable FAR/DFARS clauses and compliance obligations.
  2. Supporting subcontractor due diligence and ensuring required flow-down clauses are communicated and documented.
  3. Maintaining organized contract repositories and document management systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in contracts, compliance, or coordinating with legal teams on contract terms, clauses, and risk.
  • Knowledge/Skills:
    • Familiarity with compliance areas (EEO, Service Contract Act, export controls, cybersecurity requirements).
    • Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and contract management tools (e.g., SharePoint, SAP Ariba, Deltek Costpoint).
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
