Credit Risk Specialist

Assume a pivotal role in our team as a Credit Risk Specialist. This position involves performing in-depth credit analysis for various fixed income investments across the spectrum.

  • Collaborate with senior members of the Credit Risk and Portfolio Management teams to complete risk analysis, present findings, and facilitate timely investment approvals.
  • Participate in portfolio credit impairment projections as part of Firmwide exercises, including the industry-wide annual CCAR process and quarterly CECL reserving process.
  • Work alongside senior team members on product-specific analysis required to support risk discussions, including preparation and delivery of analytical presentations for Senior Risk forums.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of credit loss models related to CCAR stress testing and CECL reserve projections, liaising with independent Model Review teams to prepare model documentation and obtain usage approvals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive credit analysis and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain credit loss models.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners.
Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in credit risk management within a financial organization or credit rating agency.
  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong analytical background and understanding of financial statements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to partner effectively across different businesses and functional areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python or other analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for fixed income portfolios.
