Job Description:

We seek an accomplished Software Architect to create and maintain scalable, efficient software architectures that support our maritime operations platform.

  • This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and core systems.
  • The ideal candidate will possess expertise in backend technologies and deliver high-performance solutions that cater to the evolving needs of the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design and development of efficient software architecture.
  • Take full ownership of the product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including comprehensive unit tests, to ensure high-quality code.
  • Build reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure data protection compliance.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for all systems and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong programming foundation in Python with debugging and performance analysis skills.
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs (REST, XML) with good knowledge of frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Considerable expertise in secure software development and handling sensitive data.
  • Well-established experience in all phases of development – requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git.
  • Hands-on experience in DB design & Architecture with a focus on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache or Redis.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or other web/app servers.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise-level deployment and scaling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Angular or Node JS will be a plus.
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JS, Bootstrap, Ajax will be an added advantage.
