Job Description

We are seeking a skilled backend developer to join our team. As a senior backend engineer, you will be responsible for building high-quality APIs and services that power our personal finance app.

You will work closely with our platform and infrastructure engineers to ensure the security, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Node.js, TypeScript, and Postgres, as well as experience with queueing systems like SQS or RabbitMQ.

  • Design and implement REST APIs using OpenAPI specs
  • Write SQS workers for ingestion and insights processing
  • Implement efficient database queries and caching strategies
  • Enforce input validation and structured logging
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience building backend services with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Proven expertise in secure webhooks and third-party API integration
  • Strong understanding of idempotency, retries, and error design
  • Experience with Docker and GitHub Actions
