Community Outreach Coordinator Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Community Outreach Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for communication, event planning, community outreach, training, and program development on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Effective communication with various stakeholders, including community members, healthcare professionals, and our team.
  • Event Planning: Organize and execute events, workshops, and campaigns to promote our initiatives and engage with the community.
  • Community Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to reach out to underserved communities, build relationships, and increase awareness about our programs.
  • Training and Program Development: Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building programs for community health workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in event planning and community outreach.
  • Training and program development abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of initiatives and programs is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in areas like project management, fundraising, or community engagement.
