Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Director to lead our pre-clinical pathology lab operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving excellence in histopathology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute blood collection from laboratory animals
  • Monitor anesthesia/euthanasia of laboratory animals
  • Plan necropsy examinations
  • Conduct and monitor tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining
  • Read histopathological slides for toxicity and efficacy studies
  • Monitor slide preparation and report preparation
  • Collaborate with study pathologists on Pre-clinical studies
  • Conduct clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urine analysis
  • Implement and maintain quality control checks for in-house biochemical analysis
  • Develop SOPs related to pathology area
  • Supervise maintenance and operation of histopathology-related instruments
  • Review in-house test results
  • Participate in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects
  • Ensure availability of required chemicals and materials
  • Provide RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports, and study audits
  • Execute health monitoring of animal and employee
  • Collect and dispatch samples for analysis
  • Maintain calibration schedules for pathology-related equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance for pathology lab-related equipment

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in pre-clinical pathology lab operations
  • Strong knowledge of GLP principles
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Proven track record of implementing quality control measures and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
