Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Risk and Controls professional to join our team as an Internal Audit Specialist. This exciting opportunity will involve business process review, process design and implementation, risk and control assessment, internal audit, and validation of focusing on key risk areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage internal audit assignments for clients in the BFSI sector by assessing risks and controls, identifying gaps, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare risk-based audit plans that align with client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive audit scopes and work programs that ensure thoroughness and efficiency.
  • Support team members in fieldwork, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
  • Review and quality-assure the work of team members, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports that summarize findings and recommendations.
  • Discuss reports with concerned functional heads, addressing questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Finalize reports and submit them to senior management for review and approval.
  • Prepare engaging audit committee presentations that highlight key findings and recommendations.
  • Present audit results to pre-audit committees, using data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
  • Track and follow up on audit recommendations, ensuring timely closure and resolution of issues.
  • Lead projects initiated within teams, leveraging expertise and experience to deliver high-quality results.
  • Train new and existing team members on auditing and recent developments, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience in risk and controls, with a strong background in internal audit.
  • CA/MBA/any graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Able to manage teams and perform reviews independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral/written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adequate knowledge for technical reviews based on provided guidance, with a focus on staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
