We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contractual role. This position involves designing, implementing, and operating scalable, secure, and reliable networking infrastructure that supports global operations.

This is an opportunity for a talented professional with a strong understanding of network hardware, routing/switching, cabling, protocols, and operations. You will contribute to engineering efforts, perform hands-on implementation, and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SDN, OpenFlow-based architectures, and network automation tools. Familiarity with Linux environments and network configuration management tools is also preferred.

Key responsibilities include executing end-to-end project tasks independently, contributing to network infrastructure design and implementation, and supporting prioritized project work with minimal guidance.

You will also be responsible for evaluating current inefficiencies and proposing improvements to existing network systems, software, and processes. Additionally, you will participate in on-call and ticket rotations to support ongoing operations and incident resolution.

Prior experience with client optics, metro/long-haul technologies, and submarine transport systems is highly desirable. A strong understanding of multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) and border gateway protocol (BGP) is also required.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role. Regular interaction with cross-functional and partner teams is expected. Proactive individuals who can take ownership and work in a fast-paced environment are encouraged to apply.

In addition to the requirements listed above, we are looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, telecommunications, or a related field. Relevant experience in enterprise or carrier-grade network environments is necessary.
