Job Title: Product Sourcing Specialist

We are a fashion startup that provides clothing for women in all sizes.

Our manufacturing technology allows us to process orders as they are received and dispatch them within 48 hours using our digital inventory system. We aim to achieve zero waste in our production process.

Our team is collaborative and transparent, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize the merchandise buying cycle by leading the merchandise team.
  • Improve procurement strategy by setting up new processes or optimizing current ones to ensure the shortest possible cycle of production is met.
  • Ensure on-time fulfillment, which is the primary Key Result Area (KRA) for this role. This involves launching products on the agreed launch date.
  • Share detailed technical packs or specification sheets with vendors for coordination.
  • Work with vendors to develop sampling and initial costs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and address any issues or non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure design packages are complete and accurate.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sourcing metrics, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Past experience in managing production or sourcing (ideally 2+ years).
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion technology or engineering in textile technology.
  • Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes.
  • Technical knowledge of pattern and fit development of garments—knowledge of AutoCAD would be preferred.
  • Merchandise sourcing knowledge - experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure; in large-sized buying offices or export houses.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel & data visualization tools.
  • Digitally savvy & adept at implementing new technologies & tools.
