Senior Software Engineer - Financial Data Platform

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in building and scaling modern financial data platforms. This role focuses on developing and optimizing data warehouse solutions, ensuring performance and scalability for finance and accounting workloads.

About the Role:
  • The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • They will also develop and maintain dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
  • Additionally, they will collaborate with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Snowflake Data Engineering: Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring performance and scalability for finance and accounting workloads.
  • dbt Development: Build and maintain dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
  • Financial Systems Integration: Implement data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools.
  • Data Quality & Compliance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data to support audit and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
  • 2+ years of dbt experience (building models, transformations, testing, and documentation).
  • Strong SQL development skills with focus on efficiency and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
