Software Engineering Role

The software engineering role involves applying engineering principles to design, develop, implement, test and maintain software in a systematic method. This includes analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Development: Design, develop and deploy cloud-based platforms ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Closely collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Technical Design: Contribute to the technical design and development of the platform, making informed decisions on technology selection, infrastructure and integration points.
  • Coding Standards: Develop and maintain coding standards, best practices and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
  • Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback and ensure that the team follows coding standards and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration and an excellent user experience.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, AI/ML frameworks and best practices and share insights and knowledge with the team.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the platform's performance ensuring efficient resource utilization and responsiveness.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical developer or similar role with a track record of successfully delivering complex cloud-based projects.
  • Solid technical expertise in cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud and experience with serverless architecture, microservices and containerization.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, algorithms and frameworks with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in cloud-based environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala and experience with distributed computing frameworks.
