Role Description:

Sr. Engineer - Projects is responsible for the execution of projects while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards as stipulated by the company. The successful candidate will ensure all activities are carried out on a timely basis as per the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Sr. Engineer - Projects must thoroughly understand the scope of work as specified in the BOQ and intimate the Manager - Projects about any request for execution of work not covered in the BOQ.
  • Co-ordination with the planning team for CAR/WCP/BOCW/CLRA for respective projects is crucial.
  • Monitoring of all projects assigned to him/her is essential to ensure timely completion.
  • The installation work executed at his/her site must meet the quality objectives of the company and adhere to the installation process set by the company.
  • Preparation of Variation Statements immediately after shop drawing approval is necessary.
  • Ahead of time estimation of material requirement and generation of PR in a timely manner such that the planning and procurement department gets adequate time to verify and place the order.
  • Forecasting of the quantum of work to be carried out in the coming week (one-week look ahead) and planning material requirement accordingly to ensure smooth and timely execution. Creation of work fronts from PMC/Client is also required.
  • Ensuring accuracy in material estimation to avoid recurrence of same material requirement again and again and also to avoid large stock of unused material at the end of the project.
  • Distribution of work to Engineers - Project in such a way that optimum work outcome is obtained every day as per Schedule / Milestone.
  • Project monitoring at a micro-level with respect to milestone schedules, drawing trackers, and material trackers.
  • Attendance at review meetings of projects and effective representation of the company.
  • Generation of Daily DPR/WPR.
  • Documentation generation in a timely manner as per requirements of the site.
  • Reconciliation of measurement sheets with GRPO. If any material is in balance, it should be IVT through SAP.
  • Acknowledgement of material receipt at the site.
  • Generation of Work Completion Report (WCR) and sending mail to PMC/Client for approval and sign-off.
  • Compilation of handing-over documents in time and getting verified from the client's representative by coordinating with the Planning team.
  • Highlighting of dependencies that can impact his work schedule to PMC/Client.
  • Regular updates of work to Manager Project.
  • Timely execution of work with quality, adhering to all safe work practices.
  • Resolution of snags pointed out by PMC/Consultant/ Client by Engineer - Project and due verification and sign-off from them with update on a daily basis.
  • Adherence to the spiritual foundations laid down by the company and striving to propagate the same in colleagues working with him.
  • Assistance to Manager - Project in performing any other tasks that are not described above or may be specific to a particular project/job.
  • Impact training to FM/Client and getting witnessed.
  • Sign-off on QC reports and non-compliance responsibility.
  • Sign-off on Virtual completion report from PMC/Client then DLP starts.
  • Submission of ABG/PBG/RBG to PMC/Client.
  • Certification of ONE BILL A MONTH for project assignments irrespective of value.
  • Timely billing in coordination with GRPO value of respective projects.
  • Timely collection from PMC/Client against bills raised.
  • Timely submission of all compliance/statutory documents.
  • Assistance to Manager – Projects for Techno Commercials closure of the project.
  • Closure of Labour bill with proper supporting documents and need to recover Debits against violation if any.
  • Attic stock handover to PMC/Client with sign-off and same is claimed in final bill.
  • Ensures following from Engineer – Project:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Flexibility with work.
  • Discipled and quick learner.
  • Basic written and oral English.
