Biology Specialist Opportunity

This position involves working on projects that fine-tune large language models, utilizing your strong analytical and English comprehension skills. You will be designing and solving challenging Biology problems to probe the limitations of these models.

As a successful candidate, you will have a solid foundation in Biology, particularly at the PhD level, and be able to break down complex biological concepts into simple explanations. You should also be able to work efficiently and effectively in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations. Creative thinking abilities and structured communication skills are also essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and solving challenging Biology problems to probe the limitations of large language models
  • Developing high-quality, step-by-step solutions with clear and rigorous reasoning
  • Collaborating with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals
  • Contribution to defining new evaluation benchmarks based on Biology curricula spanning to PhD-level topics

Requirements:

  • Candidates pursuing a PhD/Postdoctoral degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field are eligible and encouraged to apply
