Production Manager - Solar Structures Manufacturing

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to manage day-to-day operations of our manufacturing unit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar structure manufacturing, lean production systems, and team leadership. This is a critical role focused on achieving production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

This role requires a deep understanding of solar mounting structures and fabrication techniques. Experience in handling production machinery, tools, and quality control processes is also essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of production on the shop floor, ensuring daily targets are met. They will also supervise and optimize job placement, workflow, and movement of components during various stages of manufacturing.

A key aspect of this role is the design and implementation of layout plans for new projects, including fixtures, gauges, and machinery installation. Additionally, the candidate will maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine checklists, and breakdown logs.

Other responsibilities include ensuring in-process inventory management and a smooth production flow, coordinating with R&D and design teams for successful development and integration of new products or structures, and monitoring production costs and optimizing resource usage.

Finally, the Production Manager will drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through lean practices and automation initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality standards and certifications as required for solar product manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of solar mounting structures and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience in handling production machinery, tools, and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in production planning software, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
