Job Title: Accountant

About This Role:
  • This is a full-time position that involves working with clients to maintain accurate financial records, prepare tax returns, and handle other accounting-related tasks.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and QuickBooks Online, reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, and ensure tax compliance in collaboration with senior advisors.
  2. Financial Reporting: Assemble working paper packages for financial statements and provide detailed explanations to clients.
  3. Client Onboarding: Proven experience in onboarding clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into accounting systems and processes.
  4. Data Management: Conduct data entry tasks as needed.
  5. Tax Preparation: Prepare corporate tax returns and related documentation. Strong grasp of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
  6. Payroll Management: Oversee payroll tasks, including client onboarding, payroll processing, etc.
  7. Client Communication: Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and work pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good understanding of Canadian and American accent is essential.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., B. Com, M. Com, CAs).
