Database Administrator

Job Description:

  • Develop, test and deploy Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts to ensure efficient database operations.

Our ideal candidate will optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance, working closely with developers to design and maintain database solutions.

  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and resolve them, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Participate in code reviews to promote a culture of excellence and adherence to best practices for SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions that meet application needs.
  • Perform data modelling and design database structures that meet application needs, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database procedures, structures and processes, facilitating knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in a development environment.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL, with proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools for Oracle databases, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience with Oracle 19c or later versions.
  • Knowledge of database security practices and data integrity concepts.
