Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our edge technologies.

Our team focuses on building and operating infrastructure that resolves, routes, and delivers all traffic between our 1 billion members and the application layer. We prioritize performance, security, and reliability in everything we do.

You will be responsible for ensuring the health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our Internet-facing services. You will gain deep knowledge of our complex applications, assist in the rollout and ramp up of new product features and technologies, and develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale Linux environment.

We are looking for a strong programmer with generalist operational knowledge who is passionate about this unique niche of the edge domain and believes that software automation is a key component to operating large-scale systems.

Requirements
  • Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our Internet-facing services
  • Gain deep knowledge of our complex applications
  • Assist in the roll-out and ramp up of new product features and technologies to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth
  • Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale Linux environment
Qualifications
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical experience
  • 5+ years experience with administration and troubleshooting of Unix/Linux systems
  • 5+ years experience coding in one or more programming languages like Rust, Go, Python, Perl, Ruby etc.
