Rug Design Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and skilled Rug Designer to join our team as a lead in rug design efforts. As a key member, you will be responsible for developing modern rug designs that showcase unique style and flair.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Create a detailed plan for the creative direction of our rug product lines.
  2. Share concept ideas of themes and collections to develop.
  3. Develop designs for the themes in appropriate qualities and textures of collections identified.
  4. Stay up-to-date with new ideas of fibres, yarns & weaves for manufacturing.
  5. Plan exhibition stand design with respect to the collections being displayed.
  6. Design room settings and rendering of rug designs.
  7. Design catalogues and social media posts.
  8. Travel to factories and exhibitions as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in design.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in rug design.
  • Knowledge of carpet techniques including hand tufting, hand knotting, and handloom weaving.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, Indesign, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Galaincha software is a plus.
