The role of Head of Fund Raising is a crucial position within a real estate investment fund, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure capital for projects in India across various asset classes.

This seasoned professional will lead the team in identifying and pursuing potential investors, creating detailed pitches and negotiating deals that meet the fund's objectives.

A strong track record of successful fundraising efforts is essential, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience in financial analysis and modelling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Capital Raising: Identifying and engaging with key stakeholders, including institutional investors, family offices, and high net worth individuals
  • Investor Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective investors through regular updates on fund performance and new investment opportunities
  • Market Research: Staying up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to ensure the fund remains competitive
  • Proposal Development: Creating detailed proposals outlining investment opportunities, financial projections, and risk assessments
  • Networking: Establishing relationships with key players in the industry, including other investors, developers, and industry experts
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the investment team to identify and pursue new opportunities, ensuring alignment with the fund's strategy and goals
  • Compliance: Ensuring all fundraising activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications include:

  • Masters or degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial analysis and modelling
