Product Development Manager Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to oversee the entire product development process from concept to launch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, management, and cross-functional team collaboration.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Engineering Document Management: Interpret and maintain accurate engineering documents to ensure seamless translation into procurement and production requirements.
  2. Manufacturing Input Creation: Transform product design and quality requirements into manufacturing inputs with OEM partners.
  3. Assembly Documentation: Create and maintain assembly documentation, such as SOPs and APBs.
  4. ECM Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage Engineering Change Management (ECM), implement changes in production, and drive timely closure.
  5. BOM Management: Prepare, update, and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for all products and create part numbers for components.
  6. EOL Monitoring: Monitor End-of-Life (EOL) status of products and plan accordingly.
  7. Obsolescence Management: Track and manage obsolescence of components, particularly electrical items, and alert the engineering team when required.
  8. Project Status Coordination: Coordinate development project status from prototype to mass production phases within Acsys and with OEM-Partner.
  9. NPI Release: Verify and ensure all NPI specifics information/documents are released in JIRA/Confluence.
  10. Data Integrity: Manage data integrity within Jira/Confluence and make it available to OEM-Partner.
  11. Audit Support: Support and participate in ISO audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  12. Pilot Builds: Lead pilot builds, resolve issues quickly, and establish repeatable processes for production scaling.
  13. Collaboration: Collaborate with product, design, supply chain, vendor, and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time and seamless product launches.
  14. Supplier Partnerships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  15. Certification Knowledge: Possess knowledge of product certification requirements such as EN, FCC, CE, and PESO.
  16. Reporting Line: Report to SCM.
