High-Level Cloud Operations Expert

We're seeking an experienced professional to oversee the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure, leveraging automation and collaboration to drive business outcomes. The successful candidate will maintain and enhance Terraform scripts for various services, work directly with phData Provision Tool, and implement automated environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices.

1. Maintain and enhance Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, etc.
2. Work directly with phData Provision Tool and related infra tooling
3. Automate environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices
4. Collaborate with STL and Senior Engineer to ensure seamless operations - Handle AWS IAM, RSA key management, and 1Password Vault usage
5. Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure Setting up tools and required infrastructure
6. Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
7. Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project
8. Troubleshooting techniques and coordinating the fixing bug fixes with developers
9. Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement in a lean manner
10. Planning and building automated processes where possible
11. Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
12. Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools and CI/CD pipelines
13. Build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipelines (CI/CD Pipeline) for various technologies and platforms
14. Mentoring and guiding the team members on DevOps collaboration
15. Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
16. Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities
17. Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
18. Managing stakeholders and external interfaces
19. Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
20. Highly responsible individual to work with financial domain customers

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with chaos engineering or resilience testing
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments
• Be able to write clear runbooks and do postmortems
• Exposure to Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT Cloud
• Exposure to other data-intensive or distributed systems (Kafka, Cassandra, etc.)
• Contributions to improving SRE practices (e.g., error budgets, blameless postmortems)
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation
• Typical SRE responsibilities: programming/scripting, networking basics (DNS, LB/ELB, TCP/IP, VPN/VPC), CI/CD (GitHub/Gitlab)
• Strong Linux background
• Thorough knowledge in DevOps practices and concepts
• Hands on skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD (Cloud Native CI/CD tools), etc. Hands-on experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience in cloud native tools and technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in test automation tools and mechanisms such as JMeter, Newman, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch/Kibana, Prometheus, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in at least one development language (Java or . NET)
• Scripting knowledge in python/shell etc. with experience on Linux/Windows

• Ability to communicate effectively with different project stakeholders
