Senior Azure Data Engineer Role Overview

The successful candidate will work as a senior data engineer, specializing in Microsoft Azure services. They will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

  • Azure data engineer with extensive experience in handling large-scale data processing tasks using Azure-based technologies such as Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Expertise in various programming languages including Python, along with hands-on experience with tools like Apache Spark, AWS/Azure/SAP, ELT (Extract, Load, Transform), Data Modeling, and Data Integration & Ingestion.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions.
  3. Develop and implement automated testing frameworks using tools like SonarQube and PyTest.
  4. Provide data engineering support and expertise to the team.

For this role, we are looking for an experienced data engineer who can demonstrate expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure-based technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Azure-based technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages like Python, along with tools like Apache Spark and AWS/Azure/SAP.
  • ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) and Data Modeling expertise.
  • Strong understanding of data integration and ingestion concepts.
  • Experience with data factory, databricks, sql db, synapse, stream analytics, glue, airflow, kinesis, redshift.
  • Skills in sonarqube, pytest.
