Senior Java Developer

This is a challenging role for an experienced professional to lead and contribute significantly in the development of mobile payment applications.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in mentoring teams, contributing engineering excellence and innovating new features.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing product requirements and designing efficient implementations
  • Participating in integration testing and collaborating with colleagues from other departments to achieve common goals
  • Facilitating business improvements as appropriate and demonstrating analytical problem-solving skills, customer focus and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Complying with relevant legislation including EEO, OSH and Records Management

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and REST API development
  • Proficiency with Oracle DB, MySQL or PostgreSQL, including complex queries and database performance optimisation
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, data structures and algorithms
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins and modern CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes experience is beneficial
