About This Role

We are seeking a skilled cloud security professional with extensive experience in cloud platform engineering, particularly focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role requires a deep understanding of the Shared Responsibility Model and security risks inherent in hosting cloud-based applications and data.

  • Develops security assurance lifecycle controls, including prevent, detect, respond, and remediate measures.
  • Configures Public Cloud native security tooling and capabilities with a focus on GCP Organizational policies/constraints, VPC SC, IAM policies, and GCP APIs.
  • Implements Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) using 3rd Party tools like Wiz, Prisma, Check Point CloudGuard, etc.
  • Designs and configures event-driven serverless-based security controls in Google Cloud Functions.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure DevOps processes and workflows align with secure SDLC practices.
  • Utilizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, preferably Terraform, to manage infrastructure configurations.
  • Develops logging and data pipeline concepts and architectures in cloud environments.
  • Articulates complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participates in risk control frameworks and engagements with risk and regulatory functions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software and/or cloud platform engineering, particularly focused on GCP environment.
  • Deep understanding of the Shared Responsibility Model and security risks inherent in hosting cloud-based applications and data.
  • Experience with Policy-as-code (Rego) and OPA platform.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell or Python or Bash or Go.
  • Knowledge of Agile best practices and methodologies.
  • Practical experience in designing and configuring CICD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • ITSM experience.
