Electrical Design Leader

We are seeking an experienced and skilled electrical design leader to join our team. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and technical skills.
Main Responsibilities:- Plan and execute electrical design projects from conceptual stage to completion, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Design product solutions based on customer requirements for DC SMPS-based power systems, UPS panels, distribution panels, and other electrical systems.
- Provide technical and engineering support to internal and external customers, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, such as IEC 60204-1 and IEC 61439-1-2.
- Analyze technical requirements of project goals and develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Prepare detailed design documents, including BOMs, GA drawings, and electrical drawings, and review engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Suggest ways to optimize BOM costs and improve overall efficiency of the design process.
- Develop and implement quality engineering documentation practices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Lead process improvements and new product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with quality management system requirements.
- Provide proactive and contemporary engineering support to production and quality teams.
- Interact with customers to understand their requirements and preferences.
- Validate and characterize prototypes to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Manage project schedules and MIS reporting to achieve desired dates and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the power system and UPS industries.
- B-Tech degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for SLD and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in electro-mechanical designing of electrical panels, UPS panels, and other related equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical switchgear, cables, bus-bar sizing, mechanical designing, wire harness, product quality and safety norms, and testing of panels.
- Project management skills, including cost and schedule planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
