Ocean Freight Executive

Beeontrade is seeking a strategic freight management leader to spearhead the development and scaling of our Ocean & Air product vertical in India.

This role involves designing and executing procurement strategies, pricing, carrier partnerships, and commercial operations from the ground up. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a significant P&L and team, with opportunities to shape market trends and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess 15+ years of experience in ocean freight management, preferably at a top freight forwarder or carrier, or equivalent supply chain experience. They will have a strong bias towards action, process, structure, and data-driven decision making. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for this role.

• Manage a sizeable Ocean/Air P&L and team across America who will develop and maintain relations with ocean carrier partners including global and regional partners
• Design, build, and price our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage
• Lead a diverse team of leaders
• Execute Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy
• Procure competitive market rates and design products
• Respond to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team
• Support sales and marketing organization with market information, sales leads, and joint sales visits
• Educate teams on trade-specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies
