Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled Postgres SQL developer to design and implement complex data systems using Cloud Native principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance database systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Plan, deploy, and upgrade database infrastructure as needed.
  • Expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL database performance, scalability, query tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to infrastructure changes on AWS.
  • Manage complex data replication environments serving batch and real-time use cases.
  • Engage in on-call rotations for production systems and respond to incoming alerts.
  • Contribute to major system upgrades, deployment automation, monitoring enhancements, and production changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on development and operational experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • Experience with AWS Data Migration Service and extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of hosting applications on cloud platforms and experience with programming languages for DevOps automation (Java, Python, Shell).
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Wavefront is an added advantage.
