Database Administrator

Lead a team of experts in ensuring the optimal performance and integrity of PostgreSQL databases, driving solutions for efficient data management, scalable architectures, and high-availability configurations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies, create streamlined processes, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Expertise in PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, backups, monitoring, and enhancements.
  • Experience in designing and implementing high-performance database architectures, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and command-line interfaces.
  • Ability to lead projects from initiation to closure, driving results-oriented strategies and fostering collaboration among team members.
Key Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Expertise in database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud, pg-badger, and other reporting tools, with experience in HA (High Availability) Configuration and strong knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to detect and troubleshoot complex database-related issues.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
