Responsibilities:
  • Store Operations & Brand Standards:
  • Oversee all aspects of daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS systems.
  • Maintain a visually appealing store environment through effective visual merchandising, cleanliness, and ambience.
  • Implement seasonal campaigns, festive promotions, and new collection launches as directed by senior management.
  • Sales & Customer Experience:
  • Drive sales revenue to achieve and exceed monthly targets.
  • Provide personalized styling guidance for customers seeking sarees, blouses, and accessories.
  • Resolve escalated customer queries efficiently, ensuring seamless exchange/return processes in line with company policies.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with loyal customers, promoting membership/loyalty programs as needed.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff, stylists, and support personnel.
  • Monitor staff performance, set targets, and conduct regular team meetings to foster a positive work environment.
  • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional ethnic wear shopping experiences.
  • Inventory & Stock Control:
  • Oversee stock movement, replenishment, tagging, and barcoding procedures.
  • Ensure accurate records of saree collections and minimize stock loss/shrinkage.
  • Provide timely feedback on bestsellers, customer preferences, and market trends to the merchandising team.
  • Marketing & Engagement:
  • Organize in-store events such as festive saree showcases, draping workshops, and wedding collection previews.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for influencer visits, live streaming, and customer engagement activities.
  • Promote store offers and exclusive collections through local channels and social media collaborations.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales and footfall reports.
  • Ensure compliance with billing, GST, and company policies.
  • Maintain safety and operational excellence within the store environment.
Qualifications & Attributes:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
  • Knowledge of ethnic wear fabrics, draping styles, and customer preferences.
  • Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform well in high-footfall seasons (Durga Puja, weddings, festivals).
  • Proficiency in billing software, POS systems, and MS Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Retail, Fashion Management, or Business (preferred). 4–6 years of experience in apparel/ethnic retail management is essential.
