Process Engineer Job Description

Job Role:

A Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet client requirements.

  • Develop process flow diagrams and ensure designs are safe and efficient.
  • Review technical specifications and collaborate with clients to achieve design agreement.
  • Investigate and analyze systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement manufacturing processes that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Oversee work progress and ensure adherence to company guidelines and quality systems.
  • Work closely with clients to maintain long-term relationships.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering Discipline with 18-20 years of experience in Process Department of a consultancy organization or technical services department of a Pharmaceutical/ Biotech/Lifesciences.
  • Knowledge of performing process calculations, preparing process flow diagrams, and reviewing design and construction for consistency and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of layout designing, area classification, and material flow concepts.
  • Familiarity with ISPE Guidelines, regulatory requirements, and equipment selection criteria.

Preferred Skills:

  • Simulation software such as HYSYS, ASPEN.
  • Disposable Technology.

Performance Metrics:

  • Regularly review project status reports to ensure up-to-date statistical information on project performance.
  • Improve productivity by reducing rework and errors.

Managerial Skills:

  • Interpret business issues and recommend best practices.
  • Solve complex problems and take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
