Next Generation Debug Developer

This role offers a unique opportunity to join our innovative team as a highly skilled Debug developer. You will be part of the Data Center Server Management team and responsible for building next generation manageability and debug solutions on AMD platforms for Datacenters.

As a senior engineer, you will have the chance to work on cutting-edge SoC architecture and technology and participate in the development of emulation infrastructure to ensure high-quality silicon and fast time to market. You will collaborate with our team of experienced engineers to support the deployment of AMD's EPYC products targeting Supercomputers and Datacenter workloads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write high-quality code with attention to detail and implement optimized software by leveraging what the platform exposes.
  • Evaluate/test competitive products and explore new frameworks and tools, providing comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software libraries and tools for open-source frameworks and script in Python and shell.
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of computer software architecture and boot flow (bootrom, firmware, bios, device drivers, OS).
  • Experience with platform management HW and SW components such as BMC, SMC, and board management software libraries.
  • Sideband/Out-of-band server management.
  • DMTF specifications such as PLDM, MCTP, and Redfish.
  • Experience with Yocto and Bitbake, distros such as Openbmc.
  • Triage failures with design, verification, firmware, software, and emulation team.
  • Debug operating systems internals.
  • Systems management (x86 servers).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
