In this vital role, you will play a key part in maintaining and evolving our technology ecosystem to support world-class scientific research and discovery. You will lead and coordinate the planning and execution of monthly maintenance windows across seven global research sites, collaborating with RBS, Research Business Services, SCCM experts, and cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, developing configuration plans, documenting procedures, and ensuring timely issue resolution.

A critical aspect of this role involves vulnerability analysis and remediation planning. You will review system vulnerabilities, evaluate potential solutions, and contribute to the development and testing plans to reduce risk across our lab compute environment. Clear documentation and methodical execution will be essential for success. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic projects, such as enterprise-wide upgrades from Windows 10 to Windows 11, ensuring business needs are translated into actionable technical requirements.

This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will partner with our development team to support Business Analyst activities for broader research technology initiatives, helping align technical capabilities with the evolving needs of the Amgen Research community.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical acumen, experience in scientific computing environments, and a proactive and collaborative mindset. Prior experience supporting laboratory systems, executing global infrastructure projects, or working in regulated research settings is strongly valued. A track record of driving process improvements and aligning Technology capabilities with scientific research needs will distinguish top candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
* Function as a Business Analyst within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) product team
* Serve as a liaison between global Research Informatics functional areas and global research scientists, prioritizing their needs and expectations
* Partner with development and product teams to gather and document technical requirements
* Contribute to cross-functional projects, such as OS upgrades and lab systems enhancements
* Lead planning and coordination of global maintenance windows for lab compute infrastructure
* Collaborate with Microsoft Configuration Manager experts and RBS partners to ensure successful execution and communication
* Perform vulnerability assessments and drive remediation planning and testing
* Identify and manage risks associated with the systems, including technological risks, scientific validation, and user acceptance
* Document technical configurations, planning steps, user stories, and follow-up actions
* Support deployment, user acceptance testing, and production readiness efforts
* Develop documentation, communication plans, and training plans for end users

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience as a Business Analyst in a technical or scientific environment, preferably in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework
* Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements
* Familiarity with vulnerability management and remediation planning
* Experience with documenting technical configurations, user stories, and process flows
* Working knowledge of Group Policy settings and troubleshooting
* Experience with PowerShell and batch scripting for automation and troubleshooting
* Proficiency in Windows OS environments and enterprise upgrade projects, e.g., Windows 10 to 11 migrations
