Project MEP Manager - Cleanroom Infrastructure

Our organization seeks a seasoned professional to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for a semiconductor manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design, execution, quality control, safety compliance, and timely delivery of all MEP systems. Key areas of focus include:

  • Strategic planning and execution of MEP activities (HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, utilities, and process piping).
  • Coordination with design consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure alignment with project specifications, cleanroom standards, and client requirements.
  • Overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of critical systems including power distribution, HVAC, ultrapure water treatment, process gases, and other semiconductor-specific utilities.
  • Ensuring adherence to international codes/standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SEMI standards, etc.) and local regulations.
  • Project progress monitoring, schedule management, budget control, and regular updates to senior management.
  • Implementation and enforcement of quality control and safety protocols specific to semiconductor facilities.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical and coordination issues across multiple disciplines.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to deliver the project within timelines and cost targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a Master's preferred. A minimum of 15 years of experience in MEP works is required, with at least 5 years in semiconductor/high-tech/cleanroom projects. The following skills are essential:

  • Proven expertise in HVAC systems for cleanrooms, ultrapure water systems, process gases, and high-voltage electrical distribution.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to handle multi-disciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with BIM, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
