Job Summary

This is a leadership role that requires strategic vision and exceptional communication skills to drive the company's corporate affairs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing crisis communication protocols, serving as primary media spokesperson during sensitive situations, and maintaining relationships with key regional media personnel.

This role also involves tracking policy developments affecting the steel/manufacturing sector, preparing position papers and advocacy strategies, and representing company interests in industry associations and government consultations.

Additionally, the successful candidate will lead land acquisition processes, liaise with revenue officials, and coordinate with legal teams on property-related matters and dispute resolution.

The Head of Corporate Affairs will provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on political developments and coordinate with various departments to align corporate affairs strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Advocacy: Engage with government and industry leaders to influence policy and advance business goals.
  • Crisis Management: Handle media during crises and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Land Procurement: Lead land acquisition processes, liaise with revenue officials, and coordinate with legal teams on property-related matters and dispute resolution.
  • Data-Driven Strategies: Develop and execute data-driven public affairs strategies.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team and influence stakeholders within a complex, matrix organization.
Requirements
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of land procurement, labour standards, and the socio-political landscape of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Communication Skills: Strong leadership skills to brief senior leadership on political developments and communicate effectively with various departments.
  • Education and Experience: Proven track record of success in policy advocacy, crisis management, and leadership roles.
