Data Visualization Specialist

As a Visualization Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and inclusive experiences that bring learning to life for millions of students and educators.

Your Mission- Create accessible, interactive data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG, adhering to WCAG & ARIA standards.
- Maintain clean, semantic, and accessible code across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Carry out accessibility testing (using automated tools like Axe, Wave, Lighthouse, plus manual testing).
- Collaborate with design and UX teams to create visually engaging and fully usable tools.
- Document accessibility practices and maintain consistent guidelines.
- Stay updated with emerging accessibility standards and visualization best practices.
- 3+ years of front-end development experience, preferably with visualization tools.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building data visualizations.
- Solid understanding of WCAG and ARIA standards.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience with user research or usability testing for data visualization.
- Familiarity with additional data visualization frameworks/libraries.
- Contributions to open-source accessibility efforts or active involvement in related communities.
