Job Title: Automation and Electronics Systems Engineer

About the Role:

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd is seeking a skilled Automation and Electronics Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated systems and electrical and electronics architectures for our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated systems and electrical and electronics architectures for our vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain bill of materials with weight details for all components.
  • Participate in packaging and assembly failure modes analysis with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze and provide solutions for packaging-related failures and work with teams to reduce or eliminate failures in new projects.
  • Benchmark automotive domain products and apply best practices.
  • Release layout and update layout in Team Center on time to meet project targets.
  • Create 3D sections for packaging concepts at vehicle condition.
  • Prepare packaging interface sign-off and review critical inputs before tool kick-off for all new component development.
  • Finalize component torque requirements and tool usage to standardize existing infrastructure in assembly locations.
  • Conduct component fitment trials at manufacturing locations and coordinate vehicle builds.
  • Understand and provide requirements for surface finish and draft angles on A-surface components when needed.
  • Design and develop automobile electrical and electronics systems, including harnesses, ECUs, sensors, alternators, starters, batteries, and more.
  • Develop working knowledge to understand E&E system requirements and derive E&E architectures for vehicles and individual components.
  • Understand vehicle E&E architectures, security, safety, and other vehicle body functions.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of experience in the automotive or farm equipment industry.
  • BE/B Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automobile Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of systems like design reviews, DFMEA's, and vehicle electrical systems.
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams from start to end of projects.
