Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at MERAS Plugins Private Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and testing of power electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems for various applications, including motor drives, renewable energy systems, and power supplies.
  • Simulation and Analysis: Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize the performance and efficiency of power electronics systems.
  • Component Selection and Validation: Participate in the selection and validation of electronic components and materials for power electronics applications.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and review technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and test plans.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics systems into larger product designs.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug power electronics systems to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Design Reviews and Feedback: Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and reliability of power electronics designs.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Product Testing and Validation: Support product testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the design and development of power electronic circuits, systems, and components.
  • Simulation Tools: Strong proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTSpice, or PLECS for power electronics analysis.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of analog circuit design, semiconductor devices, and power semiconductor devices. Experience in control systems design and implementation for power electronics applications. Proficiency in embedded systems development and programming for power electronics control and monitoring.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Project Management: Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
  • Industry Standards and Regulations: Experience with industry standards and regulations such as IEC, UL, and IEEE for power electronics design and testing.
  • Innovation and Passion: Demonstrated track record of innovation and a passion for driving technological advancements in power electronics.
