About Role

This role is responsible for carrying out internal audits, ensuring audit coverage aligns with organizational policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough internal audits of all activities within the organization.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Provide oversight to management on control lapses and areas for improvement.
  • Present reports to management and the board detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit observations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain timely completion of audits and monitor progress closely.
  • Evaluate controls over operations, financial reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes.
  • Update risk control matrices (RCMs) and conduct regular internal control framework testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and best practices in area of expertise.
  • Share extensive knowledge with colleagues and contribute to team development.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Requirements:
  • CA qualification or prior experience in risk advisory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in banking or professional services.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with a focus on results-driven decision making.
  • Strong writing, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of risks and internal controls to drive process improvements.
