Job Opportunity: BMS Hardware Architect

You will be responsible for designing and developing the Battery Management System (BMS) hardware system for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) domain. This includes exposure to cutting-edge designing, layout, compliance, EMI/EMC aspects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering high-quality modules/systems on-time
  • Providing solutions to complex use cases on a day-to-day basis
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in developing BMS for energy storage applications
  • Rich hands-on experience in architecting Power Electronics concepts for BMS
  • Strong design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, Micro-processors, Micro-controllers & DSPs
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730
  • Knowledge of PCB layout constraints
  • Demonstrated experience using simulation tools (e.g., P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience working with various Sensing Technologies (e.g., Temperature Sensor, Voltage sensor)
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication circuit design
  • Experience in Power Supply Design
  • Experience working with MOSFET driving

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Safety Regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs
  • Contactors and Relays
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products
