Director of Engineering Job Description

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to build and lead our engineering teams. This role is responsible for evolving a product line that serves high-growth B2C, D2C companies, and large enterprises.

The ideal candidate has scaled enterprise products, solved complex challenges in SaaS environments, and can drive AI adoption and innovation as part of product evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage multiple high-performing engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to define release roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership to deliver software that is maintainable, observable, and performant.
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and processes to increase team productivity.
  • Drive AI adoption across engineering functions (developers, QA, DevOps) by integrating AI-assisted coding, testing, automation, and monitoring into workflows.
  • Build an engineering culture of quality (TDD, BDD, Code Quality, Automation, Continuous Delivery).
  • Partner with AI/ML teams to deliver product-level innovation—contextual recommendations, autonomous workflows, and intelligent service agents.

Requirements:

  • 12–18 years of experience in building and shipping enterprise SaaS products.
  • Strong technical background, preferably in building systems that operate at scale.
  • Proven success in leading large engineering teams with strong delivery predictability.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and translating business goals into actionable engineering roadmaps.
  • Track record of owning product delivery commitments and improving productivity.
  • Experience driving AI adoption across engineering teams and guiding the integration of agentic AI into enterprise-grade systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and coach teams.
