About the Role

The NAC Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' networks. This includes monitoring and maintaining the NAC solution, investigating and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the performance and health of the NAC solution, including authentication, authorization, and enforcement processes.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by users or detected through monitoring tools.
  • Ensure daily backups and maintain accurate documentation of NAC configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly/half-yearly/yearly compliance reports as per HSL requirements.
  • Review monitoring alerts for availability and performance, and modify/deletion/addition of rules/routes/policies as per requirements from HSL.
  • Provide audit evidence as and when required, and assist OEM/HSL Project team in product upgrade/maintenance activities.
  • Log analysis and reporting using native tools, capacity management, incident management, and change management process.
  • Service window for this engagement is 16/6 (Two shifts), and in absence of onsite resource, there should be an immediate replacement of the resource.
  • Analyze logs and alerts to identify security incidents, policy violations, or network anomalies, and respond promptly to incidents related to network access, security policy enforcement, or endpoint compliance.
  • Implement corrective actions to mitigate security risks, such as isolating non-compliant devices or blocking unauthorized access, and maintain and update access control policies based on organizational requirements, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Review and refine authentication methods, authorization rules, and endpoint posture assessment criteria as needed, and provide technical support and guidance to end-users, IT staff, and system administrators on NAC-related issues.
  • Assist users with device registration, network configuration, and troubleshooting connectivity problems, and manage software updates and patches for NAC components, ensuring that the solution is up to date with the latest security fixes and enhancements.
  • Perform configuration changes and optimizations to improve the performance and security posture of the NAC solution, and maintain accurate documentation of NAC configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on NAC performance, security events, compliance status, and incident response activities for management review and audit purposes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security analysts, and system administrators, to address complex NAC-related issues and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on NAC operations, issues, and project statuses, and end-user support if any issue due to firewall policies.
  • Support for DC/DR headend device for change management, modification, maintenance activity, and incident, and upgrade activity (hardware/software) need to be performed as per OEM recommendation for headend and branch devices.
  • Closing of audit and VA points for headend and branch devices, support for branch Cisco switches (hardware/software support), and support for branch switches for configuration, modification, and upgrade.
  • Upgrade activity (hardware/software) need to be performed for branch switches as per OEM recommendation, and call logging with OEM for branch switches in case of any issue or incident, and coordination with OEM for RMA, configuration, and installation.

  • NAC, Security (FW + VPN + NAC)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience).
  • Certifications relevant to services supported. Certifications carry additional weightage on the candidate's qualification for the role.
  • CCNA certification in must, CCNP in Security or PCNSE certification is good to have.
  • NAC, Security (FW + VPN + NAC)
  • Moderate level of relevant managed services experience handling Security Infrastructure.
  • Moderate level of knowledge in ticketing tools preferably Service Now.
  • Moderate level of working knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Moderate level of experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties.
  • NAC, Security (FW + VPN + NAC)
