Data Engineer - GCP Looker
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and deploy data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, and other related services;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and develop solutions to meet business needs;
- Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code in various programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala;
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues within data engineering systems, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal impact on business operations;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging tools, recommending improvements and implementing best practices to drive innovation;
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based data engineering solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts;
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue;
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance principles, particularly in a cloud environment;
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize system performance;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile development environments;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
