Job Title: Internal Control Specialist

As a skilled Internal Control Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely reporting to team members and management, and implementing control processes and corrective actions.

The role involves facilitating and coordinating the completion of mandatory Statutory/Corporate/Asia reporting requirements. You will also review and ensure adherence to US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, and Company's internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent on-site internal control reviews and ensure appropriate and timely implementation of control processes and corrective actions.
  • Undertake special projects to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation, with a view to strengthening internal controls while reducing inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and overall workload.
  • Assess all areas of risks and implement complete and effective risk management strategies across all functional areas.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the completion of mandatory Statutory/Corporate/Asia reporting requirements, including Quarterly Attestation and Semi-Annual Balance Sheet Reviews.
  • Share best practices across the APO region and support location management teams for Operational and Financial audits.
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documents to check compliance with US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, and Company's internal policy.
Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of experience in internal audit/accounting audit/internal control roles, with at least 4 years in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to perform Process Audit and Month close review independently.
  • Outstanding knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in QAD and Hyperion highly preferred.
