Linux & Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Linux administrator to manage and maintain SUSE servers in various environments, including physical and virtual setups.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with building and reimaging SUSE Linux servers, as well as managing Linux virtual machines configured in ESX environments.
  • This role requires strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • You will be working closely with our team to provide top-notch support to customers and manage antivirus environments.
  • Patching and OS upgrades on SUSE servers will also be part of your responsibilities.
  • A good understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, and Name Resolution is essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with SAN or NAS environments, RAID, and LVM is a plus.
  • Experience with clustering and package management will also be beneficial.

Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration, particularly SUSE.
  • Strong networking skills, including TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, and Name Resolution.
  • Experience with ESX environments and virtual machine management.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of SAN or NAS environments, RAID, and LVM is a plus.
