Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Firewall Support Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network protocols, including SSH, FTP, ICMP, TCP/IP (IPv4 & IPv6), Network Address Translation (NAT), SNMP, IPSec, GRE, QoS, and VLANs.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support:
    • Provide excellent phone, chat, and email support to customers.
    • Log and track all communications received into the ticketing system.
    • Establish a quality working relationship with customers.
    • Follow defined standards to resolve issues.
    • Escalate issues within defined standards.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Research and resolve customer inquiries by utilizing established procedures, user manuals, accessing online applications, or interacting with internal and external support groups.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communications issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Meet individual metrics for Firewall Support Specialist.
    • Identify and suggest process improvements.
    • Participate in departmental training activities.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of network protocols and concepts.
    • Ability to interpret output from network traffic analysis tools.
    • Effective interpersonal and consulting skills.
    • Hands-on experience with Meraki and Fortinet firewalls.
    • Ability to collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
